MC Harvey has opened up about his split with former wife Alesha Dixon. Harvey told his Celebrity Big Brother housemates that he ‘got off lightly’ after having an affair with singer JavineHylton, who was also his wife’s friend. 

 

The rapper, known for So Solid, confessed that he felt regret following the end of his one-year marriage to Dixon, now a well-received talent judge on Strictly Come Dancing. He also said that Dixon had ‘dealt with (the incident) graciously’. 

 

He said: “Since the day that I actually got divorce, there’s never been one cross word or beef.”

 

As Harvey sat in the garden talking to Jasmine Lennard and Danica Thrall, he told his housemates how his actions in the past had gone on to affect every single one of his relationships. “Every time I get serious with a girl, they go back to that moment.”

 

He also shared how painful it had been when his ex-wife, whom he dated for five years prior to their marriage, gave up on him without a fight. He said: “What made it worse is when she went ‘I’ll take what’s mine and you take what’s yours and get out of my life’, and I was like ‘oh!’”

 

He said her behavior was out of her character, which he described as very loyal: “I was that girl’s world. Her eyes didn’t go left, her eyes didn’t go right. I was her man, I was her husband.”

 

After his marriage to Dixon ended, he went on to have a long-term relationship with JavineHylton. In 2008, Javine gave birth to the couple’s daughter Angel. Eventually, however, Javineleft Harvey after the rapper allegedly cheated on her as well.
