Emmerdale's Steph Stokes will tonight confess to the murder of Shelley Williams.

Steph, played by Lorraine Chase, is losing her mind in prison, where she is locked up on suspicion of killing her dad's girlfriend.

Although she has previously insisted she is innocent, she has now convinced herself that she killed Shelley.

And Steph tells all to village curate Ethan Blake, played by Liam O'Brien.

"He's obviously blown away by what she says," a soap insider told the Daily Star.

But Shelley, played by Carolyn Pickles, has actually been in hiding ever since crazed Steph locked her in a cellar and dumped her in the middle of the countryside.

In an explosive episode, she will burst back on the scene to stop her archrival being locked up forever.
