Ian Poulter is planning to head Stateside in order to build on yesterday's dramatic Volvo Masters success.
The charismatic Englishman claimed his first Tour victory of the season over the weekend after earning a play-off victory against Ryder Cup team-mate Sergio Garcia at Valderrama.
But despite his delight at keeping up a record that has seen him win at least one title every year since he began on the Tour in 2000, Poulter is determined to improve his game.
The 28-year-old feels that he has the ability to win numerous competitions each year, but that he has failed to take his chances on a regular basis.
So after breaking his 2004 duck yesterday, Poulter is planning to visit the USA more often in order to hone his skills.
"I have an opportunity to play in America and I think I can win over there," he said.
"The European Tour will always be my home - I learnt my golf and am very happy here - but I feel I have to play more in the States. It's the key to moving higher in the world and that's what it's all about. Top 20, top 10 and hopefully higher."
"I am capable of winning two, three, four or five times a year. I feel I should have won at least three times this season, but I didn't finish anything off."
