Pete and Nikki split

'Big Brother' winner Pete Bennett has split from girlfriend Nikki Grahame because she is "mad and annoying".

The two stars - who met on the hit reality TV show this summer - broke up last week and the Tourette's sufferer insists their relationship was doomed to fail because of Nikki's unstable personality.

Pete's close friend Lilian France revealed: "He said she was mad, unstable and just plain annoying. He just couldn't put up with her nonsense any more."

Pete, 24, reached breaking point when the pair went to a party and Nikki flew into a jealous rage after seeing Pete surrounded by a group of gorgeous girls.

It was not the first time the highly-strung blonde had lost her temper in public - Nikki embarrassed Pete at another party when she threw a tantrum after his friends squirted her with vodka.

Nikki, also 24, has admitted she was the cause of a string of furious arguments and feels devastated by the split.

She said: "I'd never been so happy in my whole life as I was with Pete, but right now I've never felt so low.

"I cried for two days when he told me and I'm still finding it hard to cope. I still want to be with him but he doesn't want to be with me. I have to let go."
