Oxfordshire County Council to Receive High-speed Broadband

Independent service provider Airband to provide high-speed broadband services to homes and businesses in Woodcote.

Oxfordshire County Council has partnered with independent internet provider Airband to provide fast and reliable broadband services to homes and businesses in Woodcote. 

 

A representative for the company confirmed that work would begin in the next few weeks and is expected to finish early next year. As part of the initiative, 150 homeowners will be contacted to confirm if they are interested in the service. If they are, a green broadband box will be installed on their street. 

 

Airband will use existing telegraph poles but will also replace the copper lines with its own fibre cables. Residents and business owners are encouraged to enquire with Airband about the service by going to airband.co.uk. 

 

Residents will be given the option to sign up for "Fibre 100" for £30 a month or "Fibre 200" package for £37 a month. Airband says it will cover the termination fee should residents switch from another service provider.
