Big Brother housemate Orlaith McAllister has sensationally walked out of the house less than 24 hours after avoiding eviction.

The Belfast model had been bookies favourite to lose the public vote against Turkish student Kemal Shahin.

However, Kemal was evicted with 51.1 per cent of the vote and 26-year-old Orlaith remained in the house.

She claimed that she was leaving because of speechwriter Derek, stating: "I couldn't stand being in the house another week with him."

Orlaith has spent the past two weeks insisting that she is ready to leave and, after waking up to The Clash song Should I Stay or Should I Go?, she decided it was time to go and packed her bags.

During a last chat in the bedroom with Makosi, Anthony and Craig, Orlaith asked them not to tell Derek why she was quitting. Makosi is now the only woman a house with four men - Anthony, Craig, Derek and Eugene.
