Nest launches Nest Hello video doorbell, the Nest x Yale Lock and the Nest Temperature Sensor.

Nest has announced the launching of the Nest Temperature Sensor, the Nest x Yale Lock and the Nest Hello video doorbell as part of its efforts to offer consumers a whole smart home solution.

 

The Nest x Yale lock has been designed to allow users to lock and unlock their homes remotely using the dedicated Nest app. The new product works seamlessly with the firm’s collection of home devices, including the Nest Secure. With the Nest x Yale lock, users can have their Nest Secure alarm system arm or disarm automatically. The Nest Hello, on the other hand, allows users to see who’s at the door and grant them access with the Nest x Yale lock.

 

A Nest representative said: “When you unlock your door with the Nest x Yale Lock, the Nest Secure alarm system disarms automatically, without you having to tap your key fob or use the Nest app. Your indoor cameras turn off to protect your privacy, and your thermostat turns up to make you cozy. All automatically.”

 

 

The Nest Hello video doorbell is another slick product. It lights up when someone comes near. The homeowner will receive an alert from their phone once their visitors ring the doorbell. Using the Nest app, users can speak directly to the visitors through the doorbell or send a prerecorded audio message.
