Meg Ryan's Chinese adoption

Meg Ryan has reportedly adopted a baby girl from China.

The Hollywood actress picked up her new daughter from the US consulate this week after an eight-day stay in the country, according to E! Online.

The baby is believed to be under a year old, but no other details have yet been released.

Ryan also has a 13-year-old son, Jack, with ex-husband Dennis Quaid. The couple divorced four years ago and share custody.

Meanwhile, the blonde star is preparing to make a movie comeback with upcoming film 'In the Land of Women'.

Ryan stars opposite Adam Brody in the romantic comedy which will be released in May.
