Liverpool’s owners have debunked the rumours claiming that they are currently planning to sell the club for the sum of £350million. After the club has been unable to secure a place in the champions league for the past few years and the uncertainty looming over their development at Anfield, it was claimed that Fenway Sports Group (FSG), based in Boston, were unofficially looking at the option of selling the five-time champion league winners.
Even after three years of completing a £300million buy out of the club from its previous owners due to their financial difficulties then, the FSG insisted in response to the buy-out claim that they have no plan to give Liverpool out in sale.
A spokesperson from FSG, came forward to insist that the rumours about the sale of Liverpool Football Club (LFC) was false and that they had no meeting with any group whatsoever concerning a sale, so they don’t know what or who the source of the rumour is.
LFC are currently battling to prevent their valuable striker Luis Suarez moving to Arsenal.
