According to latest updates regarding spoof film Scary Movie 5, stars Lindsay Lohan and Charlie Sheen will both be part of the cast and will even play as a couple. Unfortunately, their onscreen love story will only last a short while as they will be killed off in the film’s opening sequence. 

 

Although Sheen had appeared – and was killed off – in Scary Movie 4, he will be back for the fifth installment but will be accompanied by brunette beauty Lohan. His return is part of the franchise’s tradition of having an old actor play a new character before being disposed of early in the plotline and in an over-the-top way. 

 

Other celebrities that have been part of this tradition include Pamela Anderson, Shaquille O’Neal, and Dr. Phil. 

 

Aside from Lohan and Sheen, Scary Movie 5 will also star Terry Crews, Ashley Tisdale, Marisa Saks, and Erica Ash. The movie will be directed by Malcolm Lee and the script will be co-written by David Zucker, the same writer behind Scary Movie 3 and 4. 

 

Dimension Films dubs Lohan and Sheen as the ‘world’s hottest new couple’. The production is clearly hoping the appearance of the two big stars will help pull in more viewers.  

 

Scary Movie 5 is expected to hit the big screen in 2013.
