Lexus Invents Hoverboard!

Car manufacturer Lexus will unveil an incredible Back To The Future style hoverboard.

One of Back to the Future II predictions this year could be about to come true – the hoverboard.

 

Car manufacturer Lexus is set to unveil an incredible Back To The Future style hoverboard on August 8 in an event. It uses magnetic levitation to float slightly above the ground, with nitrogen-cooled superconductors and magnets used to create the lift.

 

Lexus asked British skateboarder Ross McGouran to try it out.

 

"I have been skating since I was seven or eight, but this feels like starting over from the beginning," he said.

 

"This has never been done before.

 

"There is no friction beneath you at all, so I forget what I'm actually doing.

 

"This actually is floating on air."
