Lady Gaga is known not just for her outrageous outfits but also for her controversial, thought-provoking songs. During her recent concert in London, the singer revealed that she’s expecting to generate controversy for the song she’d recently written for Princess Diana entitled “Princess D.I.E.”
The U.S. singer said, as quoted by Sky News: "This song is called Princess Di - D-i-e. I predict controversy, but I don't care ... Let's take a moment to appreciate her presence and what she means.”
During the concert the popularsinger revealed her life-long admiration for the people’s princess, saying: "Since I was a very young girl, the People's Princess was the most important person in me and my mother's life,"
She said, as reported by Sky News: "I swore if I ever had an audience like this in London I would take a moment to appreciate her."
However, this isn’t the first time the singer sang the ‘sad’ song. She allegedly first debuteditat her Melbourne concert in June telling the crowd: “This song is a little bit sad."
Lady Gaga also took the time to pay tribute to Amy Winehouse, who died in July 2011 following years of battle against alcohol and drugs. The singer is quoted by Sky News saying to the crowd: "Losing Amy was a tragedy, let's sing it for her."
As expected the singer sang her biggest hits that include ‘Bad Romance’ and ‘Poker Face’.
