Jennifer Lopez has sparked speculation she is pregnant - after she cancelled a European tour to promote her latest album and movie.

The sexy star, who has made no secret of her desire to start a family with third husband Marc Anthony, pulled out of the visit after doctors in Los Angeles told her not to fly.

Though J.Lo insists she is ill with flu, rumours are rife she is pregnant with her first child.

She said in a statement: "I very much wanted to be in London, but unfortunately I am unable to travel. Being sick has also forced me to cancel my European album tour. I have to remain in LA.

Last month, it was claimed J.Lo was praying to a 17inch statue of Our Lady in a bid to get pregnant.

The beautiful star created a shrine at her Long Island home whose pride of place is a 17-inch Our Lady of Guadalupe Mexico's Virgin Mary.

According to friends, J-Lo spends every night lighting a candle in honour of the Virgin and praying to get pregnant.

J.Lo recently also claimed a baby would be the "perfect" gift.

She said in an interview: "I want a baby as soon as I can. A baby would just be so perfect."
