James Corden Caught On!

Successful debut for James Corden on US chat show.

The American audience gave a big "yes," to Corden on his first filming of the Late Late Show.

This will no doubt have come as a relief to the actor/comic as he was apprehensive leading up to the event.

Much publicity and rehearsal preceded the first show and this obviously paid off.

The feedback from audience members was very positive,  with one group from Orange County saying that he had, "nailed it!"

Kristin Latourelle said, "It was really amazing and really funny," and that Corden was, "adorable and wonderful.

James' personality was a hit with the audience, one of whom said that the show was unlike anything he had ever experienced.  James' friendly nature and gratitude for  his new role was appreciated.

The dynamic created by all the guests to the show staying on stage together was also a hit.  This is more common in the UK than the US but the audience felt it worked well.

Another supporter of James is executive editor of Variety magazine - Debra Birnbaum.  who was sure that he would be successful.

Corden hopes he can keep his viewers awake as the show is on every night after midnight.
