Jade's 'Love Island' dilemma

Jade Goody was asked to dump her then-boyfriend Ryan Amoo so she could appear on 'Celebrity Love Island'.

The reality TV star has revealed how ITV bosses begged her to split up with the footballer so she would qualify for the show, which tried to matchmake single celebrities on a tropical Fijian island.

However, Jade - who has since split from Ryan - refused to ditch her boyfriend for the sake of her career.

She confessed to Britain's Heat magazine: "I thought about it, but it wasn't the right thing to do."

An insider confirmed Jade's revelation, saying: "Granada had a meeting with Jade about the show. They knew she had a partner so in order for her to appear on it, he had to go.

"They tried hard to convince her, but in the end Jade wasn't keen on the idea and turned it down."
