09:59 15 October 2010
Cheryl Cole has revealed that she will always love ex-husband, Ashley.
In an interview with Piers Morgan for his Life Stories show, she reportedly tells Morgan that a part of her will always love the footballer.
This will be the first time the 27-year-old has spoken openly about her marriage break-up.
During the two-hour show, the Fight for this Love singer speaks about her relationship and admits that she still thinks that Cole is a “genuinely nice guy”.
The Daily Mail quotes her as saying:
“Once we get over this obstacle, I hope we can be friends again. A part of me will always love Ashley.
“Looking back on it, I feel numb. We had a great marriage and a fantastic wedding day but I don't know where it went wrong. To this day I still question that.”
She also speaks about being hours from death after being struck down with malaria.
CherylÂ’s mum Joan Tweedy and bandmate Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh attended the recording.
