Christine to leave Daybreak?
Things are looking bleak for Bleakley...
10:16 15 October 2010
Just months after joining the new daytime TV show, Christine Bleakley could be set to leave Daybreak.
The show, which is a £1m revamp of GMTV, has been receiving terrible viewing figures, despite a much-publicised launch in September.
Bleakley joined the show after deciding to leave the BBC to join former One Show co-presenter Adrian Chiles on the morning sofa.
The move, however, has seemingly been a bad choice for the Irish lover of Frank Lampard as the show gets only 700,000 viewers, compared with rival BBC BreakfastÂ’s 1.8million.
It seems that Christine may now be under pressure to quit, as it is thought that the presenters are not rekindling the famous chemistry they had on the One Show.
Rumours have already begun that long-running ITV daytime host Lorainne Kelly could be in line to take over and join Adrian on Daybreak.
Bookies have started to open odds on at least one of the presenters leaving before the end of the year.
