The best way to measure your broadband speed is by connecting a device directly to the router using a good quality Ethernet cable. Make sure to turn off any other devices that are using the same connection. When running your speed test, close down all the programs as well as your anti-virus software.  

 

Based on tests, the best websites to use in the UK are Speedtest.net, the Ookla app for Windows 10, and Mybroadbandspeed.co.uk. All three websites provide the most accurate results using both the Edge and Chrome browsers.
