How to perfect your pout
14:16 29 November 2010
ItÂ’s almost time for party season; that one time of the year when you want to look and feel and your very best.
Many women spend much of their hard-earned cash on the perfect frock for their workÂ’s Christmas party, but what about the make-up to go with the ultimate party dress?
We take a look at the ways in which you can get your luscious lips kissable for all that mistletoe.
Walk the line
The ultimate way to make your lips stand out is by using a lip-liner to emphasise your curves. Using one can make your lips look as full as Angelina JolieÂ’s; something that will get many men hot under the collar.
Ensure that you purchase a liner that is the exact shade of your lips, to ensure the full effect.
The gloss-factor
Glossing up those gorgeous lips will not only make them appear fuller, the light will reflect to give them a glorious glow – just make sure you are free old dry, cracked lips by brushing excess flake with a tooth brush.
You can even choose a clear gloss to place over matte lipsticks in order to boost the colour.
Lady in red
Red is a very daring colour to go for – mainly because it is the most eye-catching and stunning colours to use.
Daring to go red can cause some issues; it needs to match the rest of your outfit as well as your skin tone. Red usually goes with any skin tone, but you just need to find the correct shade for you. Fair skinned women may want to go for a lighter shade, whilst dark skinned women can get away with a deep, dark red.
Red also makes your teeth look whiter – something which any man would certainly fall for!
Tricks of the mind
You don’t need to have surgery to make your smackers appear larger – just use some special industry tricks and techniques.
Using a light lip-pencil, draw a line around the edge of your upper lip. This catches the light and therefore makes your lips appear bigger than what they are.
Au Naturale?
Some products promise that your lips will become bigger ‘naturally’ once used, but this can lead to some unsightly effects.
The lip glosses can contain irritants such as cinnamon and peppermint, which can cause inflammation and letÂ’s face it, you donÂ’t want to look like youÂ’ve have a botched lip surgery.
Use make-up instead and the men will be falling at your feet just in time for a cheeky kiss at midnight on New YearÂ’s Eve.
