Cheryl Cole has reportedly earned herself a place on the judging panel of the American X Factor, it has been revealed.

The Geordie singer, who currently has two acts left in the British version of the show, was allegedly told the news on Saturday.

Earning a reported £3million for the series, Cole will also be joined by Simon Cowell and Nicole Scherzinger, who also appeared on this year’s UK X Factor as a special guest judge.

The Promise This singer is said to be keen to crack America with the help of the show and her friend Will.I.Am of the Black Eyed Peas.

She has already been in talks with major US record label, Universal, to launch her latest album, Pretty Little Raindrops, over there.

Cole's current wage for the British X Factor is £1.5million and her overall worth is an estimated £10million.

A spokesman for X Factor said: “No decision has been made yet.”
