Honeymoon soured: Rapper Xzibit arrested on his wedding night

The musician and Pimp My Ride presenter was pulled over for alleged speeding and driving under the influence.

Pimp My Ride presenter and rapper Xzibit had a wedding night that became even more unforgettable for all the wrong reasons. The musician’s celebrations came to a premature end after having a brush with the law.

He was pulled over by the police for alleged speeding and driving under the influence. The artist, whose real name Alvin Nathaniel Joiner was driving back from his nuptials with partner Krista Joiner on Saturday night, it has now been revealed.

“The officer contacted the driver and smelled alcohol,” Captain Jason Kravetz of the LAPD told the Mail Online: “This started a driving under the influence investigation which ended with the arrest of [Xzibit].”

Meanwhile, Xzibit took to his Instagram account to give his followers a more whitewashed version of his wedding. He wrote: “It was nothing short of amazing. We were surrounded by friends and family and had an outstanding ceremony.”

“There was a time I thought I would NEVER get married,” he continued. “I thought that being single was the only way for me, not knowing that I was giving up more of myself to people who didn't care about me or love me unconditionally. I had to do a LOT of growing up and over time came the maturity I needed to be able to make a commitment stronger than anything that I have done in my life outside of being a father to my two beautiful sons. Yesterday, I made my family complete.”
