Hollywood's most eligible bachelor George Clooney engaged to British lawyer

George Clooney, who once vowed never to get married again, is engaged to London’s 'hottest' female lawyer.

George Clooney is said to have popped the question to London-based lawyer, 36-year-old human rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin. According to a source, the engagement happened “not that long ago.” 

 

Ms Alamuddin was seen wearing a “massive” ring in Malibu last week while she was dining with Oscar winner Clooney and Cindy Crawford. 

 

Speaking to People Magazine, the unnamed source said: "George and Amal are trying to keep things very low key but they also aren't really trying to hide this, it doesn't seem.”

 

"I think it's like they want the people they love to know that this is real, that they plan on being together forever."

 

Ms Alamuddin, who previously defended WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange and the former Ukrainian prime minister Yulia Tymoshenko, declined to comment. Her clerk Richard Bayliss said: "I am very sorry to say that Ms Alamuddin is not presently in a position to do any media interviews."

 

Meanwhile, Clooney’s agent said that he does not comment on the personal affairs of the 52-year-old (former) most eligible bachelor in Hollywood.
