Holly Valance is set to star in the new National Lampoon comedy Pledge This.

The former Neighbours actress is to make her film debut alongside Paris Hilton in the latest offering from the Lampoon team.

Although only a small part, it will be her first appearance on-screen since she lost her record contract because of poor sales.

Hilton will also have only a minor role in the film, which is based on a sorority girls' house.

Both will be hoping that their appearances in the film by team that made John Belushi a star will have similar effects on their careers.

Valance 's career has stalled following the poor sales of her two albums and although she had been set to take up an acting job on hit American show CSI, she was unable to organise a US work permit.
