Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden is hoping to secure a part in Coronation Street.

This is the second time the actress, who has had long term roles in 'Wild At Heart' and 'Cutting It', has expressed that she wants a part in the Weatherfield soap.

In April she admitted that she wanted to join the Corrie cast to stir up trouble for Rita Sutherland (Barbara Knox).

But now Holden has a much more intriguing idea of what character she would play - a blast from Tony Gordon's past.

She told the Daily Star: "I have suggested I become an ex of Tony Gordon. I would have to play someone classy of course, but it's my all-time favourite show."

Holden once has a small part in soap when she played Carmen in EastEnders back in 1994.
