GoJaunthy, an app that offers guided walks around green city spaces, has launched a new feature that enables Londoners to get more information on trees in the capital. The app uses the London Tree Map that has been developed to “raise the public profile of the important contribution of trees to our urban environment”.
App Co-Founder Hana Sutch said: “Street trees play a really important role in cities and the benefits of them are considerable. Studies have shown that children are adept at identifying cartoon characters and those from video games, but are unable to identify common British species.
“Our mission is to do everything we can to encourage walking, exploration of our local surroundings and help people of all ages connect with nature.”
