Tech firm Cloud Cover has recently received £324K in funding from UK Steel and Business Loans Scotland for the development of its Smart Factory software solution. The funding will be used by the company, which offers infrastructure management and cloud services, to commercialise its SharePoint solutions and expansion.
Cloud Cover IT was founded in 2012 and is a Microsoft Gold Cloud Partner. Started as a specialist in infrastructure support, it now serves more than 150 clients worldwide, including Forth Bridge Crossing Project, Together Energy and DPS Group, Emtec Group and Apex Scotland.
Since its establishment, the company has grown from three employees, servicing 40 clients to 26 employees and 150 clients worldwide.
Cloud Cover IT director Lance Gauld said: "We are obviously over the moon to have secured investment funding from Scottish Enterprise to bring our Smart Factory technology to life. We have a very close relationship with Clyde Gateway, and we're pleased to be able to create a notable number of new jobs in the local area to push forward with their economic regeneration."
