Nothing can be more annoying than losing your WiFi connection when you most need it. Fortunately, there are simple steps to easily bring it back up.
· Reset default settings – Simply long-press the reset button at the back of your router to go with a full reset. This works all the time but requires you to re-configure your router, which means that you have to set up your network name and password again.
· Reboot the router – This also works like magic and is often the first thing that computer experts would ask you to do if your network gets slow or if some of the websites your accessing are failing to load. Simply unplug the power cable and plug it back after about 10 seconds.
· Reposition the router - Place your router where signals cannot be blocked by huge metal objects, thick walls, and devices that can cause interference like microwaves and other types of cordless devices.
· Check if your firmware is current and updated. Go to the update tool in the system section of your router’s management console and install the latest firmware.
· Clean up your PC – If you’ve done everything and your Wi-Fi is still not working properly, clean up your PC and remove spyware, malware and viruses that slow down your systems.
