Zoe Slater will leave Albert Square with her head hanging in shame next month after admitting to sleeping with her boyfriend's dad, Dirty Den.

Walford's youngest Slater sister decides to confess all to a crowded Queen Vic when ex-love Dennis (Nigel Harman) returns to the Square, reports the Daily Mirror.

Unaware that in his absence his father has been murdered and that his former girlfriend was involved in his death, Dennis is more upset by the fact Zoe's family think he forced her to have an abortion by abandoning her when she as pregnant.

Unable to take the pressure any more, Zoe will reportedly confess to her fling with Dirty Den, before fleeing Walford to start a new life in Ibiza.

"She leaves because she can't stand everyone knowing what she did in order to persuade Dennis not to leave her," an Eastenders insider told the Mirror.

"It is truly gripping stuff and there won't be a dry eye in the house on the night."

Michelle Ryan, 21, who plays Zoe, filmed her last scenes at the beginning of May. She joined the soap in 2002 and is rumoured to be one of the actresses being considered to take over from Billie Piper in the BBC sci-fi series Dr Who.
