Halloween is typically the time of the year when kids have fun by throwing eggs at houses, cars, and strangers, among others. A local supermarket, with the aim to save the good people in its neighbourhood from getting in a mess over the spooky season, has decided to stop selling eggs to minors from October 24 through November 01.
The local supermarket posted a sign on its doors that said: Due to safety concerns, we are not allowing the purchase of eggs by minors. October 24 through November 01. It’s signed by the management.
One internet user took a picture of the sign and posted it online. The post has had more than 1.6 million views.
The poster wrote: "I remember buying eggs on Halloween but to be as inconspicuous as possible, we also bought milk, cake mix, shortening etc.
"When my friends and I (14-year-old boys) left the grocery store, we just decided to go home and bake cakes instead of egging.
"What a nice Halloween that was."
