A town centre wide hotspot was launched today by East Cambridgeshire District Council allowing High Street shoppers access to free and fast internet connection.
Cllr Mark Goldsack, Soham North, said: "This is an exciting time for East Cambridgeshire. It's great to see Soham become the next location for public free WiFi and I'm sure it will be a huge asset to the town."
Council leader Cllr Charles Roberts said: "We welcomed free WiFi access points in Ely just a month ago. With more people browsing the internet and making digital payments while out and about, Soham's free WiFi will be of huge benefit to them," he said.
"I am looking forward to seeing other market towns and villages in East Cambridgeshire welcome free WiFi hotspots in the near future."
