Dorset 5G Mast Plan Submitted to Council

Plans for a 20-metre telecoms mast at Winterbourne Steepleton submited to Dorset Council.

Dorset Council has recently posted the full details of a 5G application on their website. The documents reveal that a 20-metre telecoms mast is being proposed for a site at Winterbourne Steepleton aimed at improving Vodaphone's existing 3G and 4G services in the area, with the future potential for 5G.  

 

The column, described as 'slim-line' will support three antenna and two transmissions dishes with two equipment cabinets at ground level. 

 

The documents also outline a number of alternative sites, which have been considered and suggest that the site chosen would be the best for the coverage of the area and the way the mast will look. 

 

The application, which is now available on the Dorset Council website, will be opened for public comments until February 6.
