The 'Desperate Housewives' stars turned into moody divas during a magazine photo-shoot.

The five actresses exploded into tantrums and tears as the cameras snapped a poolside picture for America's Vanity Fair.

Problems started when Teri Hatcher, who plays Susan in the show, arrived early and picked out the 'best' swimsuit for herself.

Seeing the actress in the stunning red swimwear, Eva Longoria - who plays Gabrielle - sent a text to her publicist to complain.

But events really spiralled out of control when Teri - who earns more than her co-stars - was placed at the centre of the shoot.

Marcia Cross, who plays Bree, then grabbed her bathrobe and flounced off set.

The star yelled at her publicist: "Get your ass over here now and do your job."

When he was told he wasn't allowed, she shouted: "I don't care if it's a closed set! You get over here."

Desperate to calm things down, the photographer suggested Cross switch positions with Nicollette Sheridan, but she snapped back: "No. I don't want to sit in a chair."

Eventually, Hatcher sat in the chair - meaning she was no longer in the middle and crucially, away from Cross.

Hatcher was later seen making a tearful phone call to her parents and daughter.
