Johnny Depp has asked if he can appear in the BBC cult comedy Little Britain - in drag.
The Hollywood heartthrob has apparently asked the show's creators Matt Lucas and David Walliams if he can have a cameo role as a transvestite.
Walliams, 32, plays Emily, a man in drag who walks around proclaiming "I'm a Lady" to everyone he meets, while Lucas plays another transvestite Florence.
Depp, who recently starred in the story of Peter Pan's creator, Finding Neverland, would feature as one of their friends, the Daily Star reports.
"We're looking into it. It would be great if Johnny could appear," Lucas, 30, told the newspaper.
A source added: "Johnny's let it be known that he would like to be in the show and it would be mad not to find him a role.
"His favourite character is Emily and he's indicated that he'd love to play a friend of hers.
"He's made it clear he's not afraid to dress in drag - if it comes off the results will be hilarious."
The 41-year-old star of Pirates of the Caribbean, who lives in Paris, has already appeared in The Fast Show and worked with comic Johnny Vegas in his latest film, The Libertine.
