Ex-Emmerdale boss Steve Frost is making Corrie stars go cold with nerves as he prepares to take over the Manchester soap.
Frost will take over from current producer Tony Wood at the end of the year, and says he is "honoured and excited to be taking on a programme of Coronation Street's stature".
Corrie actors are hoping they'll be honoured, and that Frost won't get too excited. He has a reputation as a no-nonsense businessman, who is prepared to hurt people's feelings in order to get what he wants.
During his stint at Emmerdale, Frost got rid of Malandra Burrows (Kathy) and James Hooton (Sam), and brought in Patsy Kensit to play the evil and alluring Sadie Frost.
A TV leak told the Daily Mirror: "No doubt there will be a few twitchy people down at the Corrie studios. It's always a bit nervy when someone new comes in."
But Corrie stars are used to the demands of working for a ruthless producer. Wood, their current boss, has been as cold-blooded as Frost when it comes to axing big names from the cast.
The source continued: "There has been blood on the walls at both Corrie and Emmerdale while [Wood and Frost] have been in charge."
