Actress Lucy-Jo Hudson has revealed that she knows little more than the average Coronation Street fan about her character's future.

Lucy-Jo, who plays murdering Katy Harris, has not been told how her character will finally leave the soap after she kills her dad, Tommy, in a pulsating episode on Friday.

Katy bludgeons Thomas Craig's character to death after her on-screen dad does everything in his power to bring her relationship with older lover Martin Platt, played by Sean Wilson, to an end.

But what happens next is anyone's guess, with five different endings having been penned by Corrie scriptwriters, according to Lucy-Jo.

"I don't think a decision has yet been reached as to how I actually leave," the 22-year-old actress told the Daily Star.

But she did reveal a tantalising bit of information as to how her character would begin to unravel over the next few weeks.

"Katy starts having a nervous breakdown and loses the plot," she added.
