One couple are set to rekindle their romance...

Their relationship has had its fair share of ups and downs, but now, according to reports, Coronation Street's quarrelsome couple, Kevin and Sally are set to rekindle their romance.

The couple, who split back in December following Kevin's affair with friend Tyrone's wife Molly, will realise their love for each other, following a night of passion.

According to The Sun, Kevin, played by Michael Le Vell, will turn to estranged wife Sally after his father suffers a heart attack.

A source told the newspaper:

"Kevin can't wait to tell everyone - including his dad - that they're back together again.

"He loves Sally and had ended the affair well before she found out. Fans will be thrilled for them too, as last year many felt the affair storyline was unrealistic."

Sally called time on the marriage after Molly came clean about the affair, confessing that Kevin was her baby's father as she lay dying in the aftermath of the fateful tram crash.

Sally, played by Sally Dynevor, is also set to take part in another dramatic storyline, which will see her fall victim to Frank Foster and suffer a brutal sexual attack.

According to reports, Foster will prey on Sally while he is out on bail for previously attacking and raping factory boss, Carla Connor.
