ITV's most popular shows are set to go mobile as the channel's chiefs look to pave the way for mobile phone broadcasting.
Among the shows expected to pioneer the technology will be Coronation Street, Emmerdale, the X Factor and I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.
ITV Mobile will work with most web and video-enabled phones currently in circulation and show bosses are confident that a whole new viewing trend will be forged.
"It's early days for ITV Mobile but the possibilities are endless," an ITV spokesperson told the Daily Star.
"We are looking at what types of services and features will work best. Exclusive made-for-mobile episodes of programmes like Corrie are also a possibility."
ITV has said that charges of 4.99 will likely be put on most programmes and services, although some will be free.
Various clips and highlights will also be offered at reduced prices of between 25 and 50 pence.
