Coach crash on M62 leaves 19 injured

A lorry has collided with a minibus on the UK motorway, the M62, leaving many injured and one person dead

One person, believed to be a woman, has tragically died after a lorry collided with a minibus on the M62,police have said. At least 19 are thought to have been injured as a result of the collision, as of time of press.

 

Reportedly, the driver of the lorry has been arrested following the crash, which happened on Friday morning, 26th April, near to Pontefract.

Those on board the coach are believed to have been a group of women on a hen party - which was going from West Yorkshire to Liverpool - according to reports.

It is understood the motorway was closed following the collision.
