Christina Aguilera reportedly ditched a track for her new album - after she found out it was written by Britney Spears.
The pop babe was planning to record the song - but axed the track when she was told it had been penned by her chart rival under her assumed name, Aurora Lynne.
A source is quoted by Britain's Daily Star newspaper as saying: "Christina wasn't happy to discover it had been penned by her arch rival."
Christina and pregnant Britney, who have known each other since they presented children's TV show 'The Mickey Mouse Club' together more than ten years ago, have been feuding since they both launched pop careers in the late '90s.
Earlier this year, Christina proved the rift had not healed after she refused to invite Britney to her forthcoming wedding.
The 'Dirrty' singer, who announced her engagement to fiancé Jordan Bratman in February, reportedly claimed she refused to extend an invitation to the star - because she wasn't there when Britney tied the knot with dancer Kevin Federline last year.
