The critically-acclaimed Chinese martial-arts epic Hero, starring Kung Fu legend Jet Li has just hit the top of the US box office in its opening weekend.
The film, which was nominated for the Best Foreign Language Oscar in 2002, grossed $17.8 million in just three days, round-housing last week's ghoulish number one film, Exorcist: The Beginning, to a fifth place more reflective of its disappointing take on the fantastic freaky original.
The week's other big release, Anacondas: The Hunt For The Blood Orchid, debuted at number two, while the only other new entry in the form of Ben Kingsley and Carrie-Anne Moss thriller Suspect Zero, entered the charts at number 10 with only $3.4 million.
