Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel have split after almost four years together, according to a report by the Mail Online.

A spokesperson for the couple said:

"We are confirming that they mutually have decided to part ways.

"The two remain friends and continue to hold the highest level of love and respect for each other."

The pair's split comes after the 29-year-old actress threw an intimate surprise party for The Social Network star Justin.

Rumours had been circulating that the couple were to separate after Timberlake, 30, attended this year's Academy Awards with his mother, not Jessica.

The couple began dating in 2007 but briefly split in November 2010 following rumours that Justin had allegedly cheated on Biel.
