CCTV Camera for Oswestry Park

CCTV camera to be installed in an Oswestry park to resolve antisocial behaviour.

Oswetry councillors have approved plans to install a new CCTV camera at Cae Glas Park to deter antisocial behaviour. The council has agreed to spend £3,600 for the project and for the camera to be installed at nearby Bellan House Preparatory School.

 

 

Town clerk David Preston said: "We've looked at the various options and because of the amount of use of the park, this is the best option that's available and the school has been very supportive to us."

 

 

"It's something that the council seems as if it has wanted to do for quite a long time because of some of the issues we have been experiencing there and so this is an opportunity to provide a solution."
