A group of police officers have found a man with his penis chopped off on the A66 in Middlesborough. A local supermarket worker claimed that the unnamed victim was attacked in dispute over a woman. A 22-year-old man was later arrested on suspicion of assault.
While attempting to find the man’s missing genitalia, police officers had to close a long stretch of dual carriageway near Middlesborough.
Apparently, a passing motorist had seen the man, who was ‘clearly in state of distress’, in the early hours of Thursday morning. Cleveland police were called to a spot at about 4:30am.
Unable to articulate what happened to him due to trauma and stress, he was unable to give the police details on how the incident happened. A source said: "He was in a terrible state when he was found. It was necessary to close the road for a period as a search began for his missing organ. He is in such distress that it is proving a struggle to find out exactly how the injury happened."
The man, who is understood to be from the South Bank area of Teesside, was rushed to a nearby James Cook hospital. His injuries were described as severe and he was in a serious condition due to blood loss.
