EastEnders star Shane Richie has revealed how he is banned from entering Jersey after turning the air blue in a tour of the island in the 1990s.

The cheeky cockney, better known as Albert Square's Alfie Moon, was ejected from the channel island following an ill-judged tirade during a gig.

Declaring that the locals had all "sh***ed their grandmothers", Shane quickly found the crowd were unamused, as he recounted in the Daily Star.

"They'd come to see the nice bloke off the Daz adverts and weren't expecting jokes about incest," he explained.

Upon cracking the joke the soap actor was informed that he had broken obscenity laws and was told to leave the island.

Richie, who has once again become a household name since rejuvenating his career on the square, described the incident as one of his lowest ebbs.
