On Wednesday morning, a very large black cat was reportedly spotted in Kent countryside. Hundreds of parents at two schools in Ryarsh were warned via text that read: “For your information: There has been a sighting of a black panther outside Brookline Coaches in Ryarsh this morning.
“ The police have been informed.”
Mum-of-two Lucia Amato, believes that she saw the big cat while walking her dogs last year.
She said: “I thought it was a big black dog but then I realised it had a drooped back and a curved tail.
“I hadn’t heard the rumours at that point, it wasn’t until I said I had seen it that I was told it had been seen before.
“It’s after a sheep not our children. And there’s lots of pheasants to eat too.”
Dad-of-five Keith Taylor, 42, said: “There’s something up there. I’ve been trying to get to the bottom of it for a while.
“I saw the face of an animal. I took the picture and I could see the face, it looked vicious.
“The cave could be the perfect place for a panther.”
