(BANG) - Ashton Kutcher would love to date Jennifer Aniston.

The 'Punk'd' star, who is currently romancing Hollywood beauty Demi Moore, has always had a soft spot for the former 'Friends' star.

He said: "A few years ago I asked Brad if I could ask her out on a date even though they were married and Brad said 'yes'.

"I still have a $5,000 bet with one of my buddies that I'll go on a date with her some day. I haven't done it yet, but I'm hanging on in there."

Meanwhile, Ashton admits he has to work hard at his relationship with Demi.

The heartthrob says being happy doesn't come easily.

Ashton, who, at 27, is 15 years younger than Demi, told Britain's Glamour magazine: "If you don't work at something it's not going to survive. As soon as you stop working at it and making it better, it's gone.

"Demi calls me on my crap and I call her on her crap. We're willing to look at ourselves all the time."

The actor also says people need to be selfless to make a relationship work.

He added: "You must be willing to think about somebody else more than yourself. It's not easy to do."
