Ashley gets an eyeful

Corrie's Ashley could be blinded in one eye after a brawl with pal Nathan.

Coronation Street's Mr Nice Guy, Ashley Peacock, could be blinded after getting into a fight with pal Nathan Cooper.

Nathan, an ex-boxer, clocks Ashley after the pair get drawn into a row between their better halves, Tracey and Claire.

The hapless butcher, played by Steven Arnold, ends up in hospital needing a major operation to repair his damaged eye.

According to the Daily Star, doctors tell him that he may never regain his sight, leaving him and distraught wife Claire, played by Julia Haworth, with an agonising wait to see if the op has been a success.

Ray Fearon's character Nathan meanwhile is devastated at the news and promptly dumps Tracey when she tells him Ashley and Claire "got exactly what they deserved".
