An Arab prince was kicked off a British Airways flight and was threatened with a 50,000-volt Taser gun by police offers at the London Heathrow airport after he exhibited negative behavior on account of being drunk.
The 28-year-old prince is believed to be a close relative of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain.
The royal boarded a Boeing 777 flight to Doha, Qatar via Bahrain and quickly began shouting and complaining about poor service, according to reports. He stormed to the flight deck and refused to return to his seat, forcing the crew members to call for help.
The British police came bearing stun guns and dragged the prince off the plane. He was taken to a West London police station for mugshots, fingerprinting, and DNA testing.
A spokeswoman from the police confirmed the incident. “We were called at 10.34am on Sunday July 22 to an outward bound flight to Doha, Qatar via Bahrain at London Heathrow after a man was reported to be causing a disturbance.
"A man who is 28 was arrested for being drunk and disorderly and failing to comply with the instructions of the cabin crew. He was taken to a west London police station and bailed to a date in September.”
