Apprentice 'bully' fired

The first candidate to be fired from The Apprentice boardroom has admitted he was a bully.

Dan Harris, the losing project manager in this weekÂ’s show, was the first to be fired by Lord Sugar this series.

He confessed on the spin-off programme, YouÂ’re Fired, that he had gone about things the wrong way:

“I should have been fired. I tried to gather people and direct them around a common objective.

“But to bully people was the wrong approach.”

The father-of-two also admitted that he was too relaxed when entering the boardroom, after the Lord told him off for slouching in his chair.

Sugar defended his decision to fire Harris, saying:

“Dan alienated all of his colleagues with shouting and screaming out orders.

“If he felt that’s the way you motivate people and start a business then Dan had to go.”

The Apprentice continues next Wednesday at 9pm on BBC One.
