Apple has recalled Beats Pill XL portable wireless speakers due to fire hazard.

Apple has urged owners of Beat Pill XL to return the product because its battery can overheat. More than 230,00 units have been sold in North America alone and so far, at least one person has been injured by a defective unit.
In a statement, US Consumer Product Safety Commission said: "Apple has received eight reports of incidents of the speakers overheating, including one with a burn to a consumer's finger and one with damage to a consumer's desk.”
Consumers who want to return the unit will have to complete a web form so Apple can send them a box. The firm is also offering Apple Store credit or an electronic payment of £215 for those who decide to return them.
Apple paid $3bn (£2bn) to buy Beats Electronics, the speaker's manufacturer, and Beats Music, its subscription streaming music service, a year ago.
